Darren Baker

Director

Darren has over 30 years’ experience owning and operating small businesses and hotels. He was a director and responsible manager of Tankstream Funds Management Limited from inception of the Tankstream Pub and Leisure Fund as Waratah Hotel  Group was then called. Darren is experienced in all facets of hotel operation. His primary areas of responsibility are investment fund management and hotel portfolio management.

David Horton

Director

David is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ accounting, business and tax experience. In 2010 he established his own Chartered Accountants practice providing accounting, tax and consulting services to a broad range of clients. David has deep insights and strong experience in the media and entertainment, hospitality and security industries with significant experience in asset sales, acquisitions, business integrations, public listings and takeovers within this space.

Lucy Partridge

Director, Head of Funds Management

Lucy has over 18 years’ corporate advisory and funds management experience, including ten years with BDO in Brisbane and Sydney, advising a variety of clients in all facets of corporate finance, audit and superannuation. Prior to joining Waratah, Lucy was Head of Funds Management for BlackWall Limited (ASX: BWF). She oversees the execution of daily funds management operations and, together with the Board, drives the strategic direction of funds under management.

Lucy holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics from University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Commerce from Bond University.

Jo Horton

Head of Distribution

Jo has had more than 20 years experience in the banking industry, including as senior economist at St. George Bank for more than 10 years. Jo holds a Bachelor of Business from UTS, a Masters of Economics from Macquarie University and an Associated Diploma in Hospitality Management from Ryde TAFE.

Jo’s qualifications and experience provider her with a deep understanding of financial markets, economic trading conditions, interest rates and industry trends and insights into the hotel and accommodation sectors.

Fiona Dixon

Responsible Manager

Fiona has over 20 years’ experience in the funds management industry, having held positions with Deutsche Bank and Colonial First State Investments. In the past 10 years Fiona has been responsible for acting as an independent compliance consultant, providing compliance consultancy, external compliance committee membership and acting as responsible manager for numerous funds management companies. She has primary responsibility for providing compliance services to Pelathon through her company, Compliance for Business Pty Limited.

Fiona holds a Graduate Diploma in Management from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

Philip Baker

Responsible Manager

Phil has over 25 years’ experience in corporate finance and funds management through seven years at Macquarie Bank and his own property funds management businesses including Lachlan REIT, which when sold had $500 million of property assets under management.

Phil has acted as a Responsible Manager for a number of AFSLs and, in addition to this role, is the Responsible Manager for Stapleton Asset Management and Brindabella Investment Group.
